Season to season, hearts are in constant changes
As there is summer to winter, joy turns to painful times.
Where there are people that love, there are people that hate.
Season to season, spring to fall, peace turns slowly into war.

Families of peace, once so ever loving, now become nations at war.
Season to season; love turns into expectations.
A house of rest turns to a unrest battle ground.
The war becomes endless, and the seasons will keep changing.

A major disappointment is all they see; not being one with the seasons.
Unable to fulfill the love of parents and those around; hope begins to die.
No matter how hard the child tries, disappointment is their new name.
And all the child can think is, "Does God really love me?"

Tears become the undying sound of the war; tears become the song of unrest.
Dreams of happiness and hope fade away into nightmares of ashes and embers.
"Does God really love me? Does He see me as a disappointment?"
Unrest creeps in more, and the only voice to be heard is, "You disappoint me."

The war becomes a raging storm of fire and screams; hopes burn away.
Nights become longer and tears become scars of battle.
"Does God really love a disappointment like me?"
A house of dreams becomes a house of tears.

Candles burn out and souls grow dry.
The stars in the black sky go dark.
Seasons keep changing but the war escalates.
"Does God really love a disappointment like me?"

Tears of rives flow down the eyes of the broken.
"God, will I ever have rest again?"
But in the midst of it all, the warmth of day is shinning bright in the darkness.
"I love you more than enough," He says with a loving embrace.

He loves you; He does not see the blackest part of life.
He loves you; He sees a child who needs their father.
He loves you; His is the one who provides rest.
He loves yo; He weeps and is taking every step with you in this crazy life.

His name is Immanuel, and He knows your name.
His crown of stars and creation says you're not a disappointment.
You are not a disappointment; He paid a much greater price for you.
He loves you; that love is something that grows and grows.

He loves you; you are not a disappointment.
He loves you; He endured it all to show His great love.
He loves you, He loves you, He loves you.
He loves you; we are a part of His dream.
While I was away from writing anything, this has been on my heart a lot but from time to time, I have felt like I was being a major disappointment to my friends and family; there were moments of silence and there were moments of heated anger. And in those moments, I felt like I was nothing more than just a disappointment that could not meet expectations of those that I love, and that also lead me to thinking about how not a lot of people look at my writing no matter how hard I try to promote myself, no one really wants to read my stuff or that I'm not good enough to write anything. But God in all His grace, reassures me that to Him, I'm not a disappointment, and that He loves me. He loves every child of every nation, and no parent, teacher, friend, or some random stranger can separate anyone for the powerful love of God. He loves you so much that He sweated blood when He thought about the price He paid for sinners like me. This goes to You my Lord.
